I've just been trying Firefox as my browser.

It seems quicker, and more stable, than IE.

Is it ?

Or is it my imagination ?

Yes... quicker and more stable... and a cute little foxy logo too...
it's not your imagination, it is faster, more stable and more secure and has the added benefit of loads of very good and useful add-ons that can easily be installed to customise it

But ... how do you save "favourites" ?
Bookmarks > add bookmark...
^ as he said....

also if you look on the file menu there is an import option that will import all your current IE favorites into the firefox bookmarks
^ thanks...I may try this just for the logo then....

craft ... it is jolly
The only downside I have found is when using this site. The 'refresh' button on the 'recent Posts' pod (top right) does not work with Firefox.
not quite as perfect as it sounds
it's partly faster because it doesn't filter as finely as IE
(based on it's perceived invulnerability)

however - it's becoming a victim of it's own success
because it's becoming significantly more popular - it's now being targeted by the bad guys.

these are some of the fixes - which show there is a significant interest in exploits.

make of it what you will ... just be aware
Jayne, at the end of my address bar is a star. if you click on it, the page will be "bookmarked" (saved to your faves).

also, the spell checker (dictionary) isn't compatible with my latest version of Vista. I miss it, I thought it was fab.
The quickest way to add "bookmarks" in Firefox is CTRL D
One thing I like Firefox for is that it is dead easy to enlarge the print ( a boon for us oldies). Simply press Ctrl and the + sign and hey presto it goes larger, repeat it and it goes larger still. Ctrl and - will reduce the size and Ctrl and 0 will put it back to where it was originally.

I can't find a list of my bookmarked / favourite sites.

Where is it, anyone ???
click on the bookmarks menu up there at the top ^^^^^
doesn't it have "Bookmarks" along the top row?

File, Edit, View, Histpry, Bookmarks..

Yes, but Chuck ...

That just gives me a drop down list.

None of the options shows me my favourite sites.
