Can anyone remind me how to go about organising the programs list .I want to put some of the programs into new folders ,in order to cut the list down to size, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to.Im sure I did this on a different computer but cannot remember how I did it.

I think what you do is go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs and create your new folders.  These then appear on the Start menu.

In XP (and maybe other Windows operating systems) you can then drag programs straight from the start menu into the new folders (grab each item by holding down the left mouse button then dragging it onto the new folder, then when the new folder menu expands to the right, drop it there).  Worked on mine anyway.

In XP, you can also create new folders on the desktop and then drag them into the Start menu. Then drag your program shortcuts into them.
