Why not just stay at home and watch TV and save your money on the holiday!
you do realise you will need to take the dish too, and then set it up so it's correctly aligned to the satellite?
Anyhow.... once you have removed the dish from the wall of your house, disconnected the sky box, taken the cable out that runs to the dish, packed it all in your car, got to cornwall, remounted the dish on the side of wherever your are staying, aligned it to the sat, re-run the cable to the box and connected it all up again then yes it will work without telling sky

I dont know the answer, but I think you're being a bit mean here!
We're going camping to Cornwall and taking a laptop with films that we're busy downloading to watch whilst we're there, especially during the evenings.
I'm sure like everyone, no- one's holiday is packed to the gills with activities 24/7, I fail to see what's wrong with watching a bit of TV, or in my case a film every now and then.
Hope you get a sensible answer soon Yvonne :-)

OK being serious then...
if you really want to take your sky with you then it would be far easier to buy another sky box and dish and take that and your viewing card.

OK, it will cost a little, but will save you having to rip out your current dish, and you will have the gear already for your next holidays
