The word "OOH"

Why do a lot of women when they're excited start a sentence with the word "ooh"? Ie. "Ooh,cheese cakes my favourite"

"Ooh,robin williams is so handsome"

Etc....


Does anyone actually use this word in the real world or is it just an internet thing?
