In XP you can RIGHT click on the picture (or pictures), then from the menu select Send To, then select Mail Recipient.

This will open a window which offers to make the pictures smaller or keep the original size.

If you select Make Smaller then it opens your mail program with the pictures already attached.

You can put in the persons email address and then send it.

Have not got Vista to hand so cannot say if it works the same in Vista, but try it.
Depends which OS your computer uses wether its a Mac or PC or other.
Assuming you have a PC and Win XP use Paint to load the image, then use image/ attributes to see how large the picture is ( some can be 2000+ pixels wide which is big )
Now use image Stretch /skew to reduce the size by a percentage. Try not to make the pics so small the recipient can't make out the image. You can start with 50% or 25% or maybe less, but really you'll need to experiment a bit yourself and see what works. Hope this helps

Thank you both for your quick replies,I have Vista,so I'll have to give it a try.I have several photos that I was hoping to click on each and adjust size en bloc and then email the same.I should be so lucky!!!!
If you are going to use an application like Paint and reduce the picture size or quality make sure you dont save the picture with the same name or you lose the original.

Best idea is to create a folder called Originals, then COPY all the pictures into there. THEN DONT TOUCH THEM.

Now work on the other copies of the pictures, and then you know you always have the full size originals if you ever want them.

Hi there VHG,of the options your first seems the better except that it opens up in Windows Mail and I use GMail.Any ideas how to do a quick switch from one to the other just for these occasions? Thanks again!!
On Paint (if that's the only application available) you can crop the subject to copy (omitting unnecessary background) and paste into a 'new' page. File as jpg with x on subject name; to avoid disturbing original.

Thanks tambourine, but the main point of my question was to be able to send multiple photos by just highlighting them and sending with little or no individual adjustments to each photo. But with the combined answers from you all with only a slight detour I;ve managed to do it.
