hi, when i ******* a external hard drive via usb to my computer, the following message appears:

'you need to format the disc in Drive N:before you can use it.

do you want to format it?'

I believe if i format it, all the data will be deleted!

how do i solve this situation?

That happens when I connect my card from my camera. I just say no and it goes away and I can access the card trhough windows explorer.
anybody else curious about what was starred out?

and probably gets the same treatment as scunthorpe which is a town between crosby and ashby

So you have previously used the drive, and it contains stuff on it that you want to keep?

Yes i have used the drive before. The model is Western digital 60GB passport
