mass renaming

in windows vista - is it possible to rename 50 files all at the same time? for example i have 50 HD video files about a friends house - i want to name them all "house" i dont want to have to go through each one, right clicking, clicking rename and typing "house" 50 times over! i know vista will automatically asign (1) (2) (3) at the end of each file - but this is still time consuming and seems completley pointless in the year 2009!

is it possible to mass rename? if not - is there a free tool i could download that makes it possible?
