Firefox web browser

Has anyone downloaded the web browser Firefox and if so what are your thoughts on it. I have read Moog's same question http://tinyurl.com/3zt4g but that was back in July and wondered if anyone had more recent experience.

I suspect you're using Microsofts Internet Explorer, at the moment. I used IE for around 3 years until a couple of weeks ago when I downloaded Mozilla.

I find this browser to have as much support as IE does. IE is more prone to spyware etc, that you get on in-browser search bars and all that other nonsense. It's more stable, more user friendly and the makers offer far more support than Microsoft do for IE. I would definately recommend Mozilla. The only drawback I find, is that Mozilla takes more time to load than IE does, this is because it isn't wrapped up with Windows as much. Which, I suppose is a good thing. Go for it Jenny Tools!
I downloaded it last night & I know it's early days but so far I'm really pleased with it. We were having such problems with disruptive & disabling pop-ups on IE all of which no longer exist!

Go to www.getfirefox.co.uk & follow the instructions. Once downloaded, open it up & click on 'Help' then 'For Internet Explorer Users' . . . most helpful.

Firefox is fairly stable and pretty fast.  I tend to use IE myself (out of habit), but have Firefox, Netscape and Opera installed as I do a bit of web design (Opera is not so good in my opinion).

Thanks people, have down loaded it tonight and in a short time have found it very good, time will tell for sure but its good to get away from the grip of Micro$hit.
