I have sky+ in my living room and have recently run a coaxial extension into another room to watch it there. If I watch the tv in this other room via sky+ there are vertical shakey lines running down the screen which makes it too bad to watch. If I record the programme and play it back it`s perfect, crystal clear. It`s a bit of a nuisance to have to record all programmes. If the connection was bad or the coax cable was damaged surely it wouldn`t play back clear?
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

then again - it could be your tv that's not tuned correctly
If your recordings are perfect i would suspect the coax cable/connections,as recordings are made internally. Also, make sure you are not getting a signal loss due to using a second set,as if so.you will need to boost the signal via the coax, with an indoor amplifier!
