Attachments.

Sorry to repeat this question, but my "friends" hijacked yesterdays.

Hotmail....jpj......Windows XP...click on attachment of email in inbox and nothing happens.

Advice please.

just tried it
open e-mail ...
attachment shows up top (test.jpg)
in the body of message
blank grey square

click either attach point - popup message

click ok - and piccy shows in page

click on 1 attachment test.jpg (24k)
and the save/open dialog opens

open opens the piccy in the viewer

first thing to try is reset all the security settings for IE

AC thanks...you keep mentioning IE but the system is FIREFOX.

Tried your second bit but noblank grey square.

what happens if you right click the attachment

AC........right click on attachment....2choices.
!) Copy link address
2) Inspect element.

AC.....had my wife send me an attachment and it opened perfectly normally with a click.

I reckon it is the fault of the sender....not me.....LOL
