ps2 to stereo

hi all

ive been playing GTA San Andreas and the sound track is so good i want to run it through my stereo just as i do with my dvd player and tv etc .

but i have no idea what an optical cable is or if it is even possible??? any help appriciated thanks

As long as your stereo/amp has an optical input then it's possible.  All you will need is an optical cable (try Argos or have a look here: http://www.tvcables.co.uk.

 

Otherwises hook your TV up to your stereo and then the PS2 sound should go to the stereo.  And for info on Fiber Optics (Optical cables etc) have look at:

Or if your ps2 has one one those 3-colour connectors into a scart adapter to your TV like mine does, leave the yellow one in the TV adaptor, and plug the red & white ones into your stereo. Simple!

run your dvd player`s audio cable to your cable/dish box, then run audio cable from that box`s out line to the TV.  Then run the TV`s audio out cable to the stereo.  Everything should work on the same input channel on the radio.
