unable to text picture messages

we have a new problem now in that my dad seems unable to text any picture messages. He did have plenty credit so dont feel that can be the problem - any other suggestions? thanks again!

cant remember which way around it is but sometimes you need receive or send a text before the feature is activated

thanks chas - I can try that. I did find some information on virgin site which I forwarded to him but may have to wait until I see him again at the weekend. thanks for taking the time to respond.
