am not computer literate and tend to use 'systems restore' a lot. A computer engineer told me this was not good and sorted out the PC so it ran perfectly, therefore I was surprised to find that after a house move on a Skype call I don't have the option to start a video connection - instead of two green option buttons (start call and video call - I only get the start call option) This suggests to me that Skype is not recognisiing my 'sightspeed' camera which appears to light up when I switch on and show my picture. It used to work perfectly - I would instigate a skype call then click on sightspeed - and all would be well -sorry, but I really am thick about these things and would really appreciate some advice.
sorry I didn't get back last evening - power failure. I have no explanation but when I opened Skype this morning the video option icon was there!! Neither my partner or I can work out why but it's definitely there and it definitely works cos I tested it when my son skyped from Africa. Thanks for taking the trouble to answer and go well.
