Background for my pc

I, rather stupidly, deleted all my bmp files recently, which included a lovely background I had on my pc. Does anyone know of, for example, a site where I could download another background for free or for a small fee? I am stuck with a black screen which is rather bland - help!

You use Google Image Search, choose what you want a picture of and look for one at your desktop sized (800 x 600 or 1024 x 768), but for year's I've used Hockney's Pearblossom Highway as my wallpaper - I used to have a poster of it and it reminds me of home.

Just look on the internet for the picture you want as your background.

Then "right click" on it and select "set as desktop background"

to delete something you have to do it twice ie once to send to your recycle bin and then again to empty your recycle bin - are you sure the files in question arent just sat in there ?

get any picture off the internet or get any that you may have from a digital camera.  A good viewer susch as IRFANVIEW will also let you change your desktop as described in the help file.
