Hi there can anyone help me please. when i turned on my Laptop last night the screen Turned red whilst loading up, then normal screen when logging in. When it gets to the normal main screen the colours are fine for a split of a seconded.... then the colour of the screen changes to Red and Yellow ... more yellow than red. can hardly see anything.

When i managed to navigate the mouse to shut down.. the screen turns back to normal colour when it is shutting down. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my laptop? i have tried system restore but still no joy

sounds like the graphic drivers have possibly got corrupted

Goto the manufacturers website for your laptop and look in the support section for the video drivers for your model of laptop, download and install them again.

"when i go to Safemode it all looks normal - why is that?"
In safe mode, windows uses a generic low-performance video driver.

"im confused what to do"
Follow Chuck's link, choose "Select your model" and work you way through the menus until you are at the section specific to your computer. Then download and install the video drivers.

ok heres an update:

i conected an external monitor to the laptop and the graphics are all fine on the ext. monitor. so you think the monitors knakared?
it's still possible that it is only a driver problem, but now you can use the laptop with a monitor you should be able to download and install the driver easy enough to find out.

well ive not downloaded anything, what i did was i went into 'Graphics properties' then to colour corrections.

i noticed the Gamma, Brightness and Contrast we all on the right hand side, so i moved the slid to the left and now everything is back to normal =) yay!! i hope it was that, that caused the red and yellow screen!!!

thanks for ABers help =)
