Vista HP SP1 on Avent laptop. All working well until after shutdown last night. Now loading runs thru' to just after sign-in screen then goes blank with only a mouse pointer (No GUI). This happens in all the Safe Mode and Normal boots. The MACHINE seems to be working OK as I can turn on/off caps lock and the wireless so the fault seems to be Windows hanging. Anybody with any bright ideas? TIA
