Why aren't my posts showing up?

Sorry this is not the right category, but it's more likely to get noticed than in any other (It's naughty of me - I will slap my own wrist).

I accidentally found an old thread of mine this afternoon, from July 2009. I saw that I had not replied to the later posters, so I typed a response. It didn't show up in the Latest Posts list. So I typed another. That didn't show up either. Then I typed a third. Again, it didn't show up.

Does anyone know why that happened please? Is there a time limit on answering old questions?

Apparently answers posted on threads that are over a month old will not show up in the recent posts box. This is apparently to stop annoying people. There was a thread restarted recently with over 2000 posts, which dated back to 2007, and people were complaining.

Apologies to anyone who posts to me, if I don't reply. My profile page rarely works, so I cannot see my questions, or questions I gave answers to, and I forget what I have posted. (Humour me, you'll be old yerselves one day - ya bu88ers).

NM, I was gonna post it in How it Works, then thought nobody would see it in there.

I have emailed the Ed outlining the problem before, I have noticed others have the same problem on here too - I put it down to "the change". (I'll leave you to ponder whether it's me who is on "the change", or whether I mean the changeover to the new improved AB). [:o)
