Dear AB Ed,

I'm sure it would be appreciated by all concerned if you could explain some of the rationale behind banning certain questions and replies.

You have the email address of those concerned and it would at the very least be common courtesy and decency to give your reasons to the person concerend.

As I and others have pointed out some of the answers were given to people who were using them for study etc and as we're often encouraged to help our younger members some of your reasoning is a tad difficult to comprehend, even more so when no reason is given at all!

Please tell us you're not banning some of these questions on a whim otherwise I feel the site will deteriorate even further with members looking elsewhere.

We are not banning questions on a whim and we are not -- sorry to have to emphasise, but I am in danger of repeating myself -- able to explain every editorial decision. It is physically impossible! Is that (regardless of any other questions you may have!) so difficult to comprehend?
