T mobile contract question

If you was on contract with t mobile and had a sim card for that contract and cancelled the contract and then rang that sim card would it still ring?!?!

my ex has recently obviously changed his number but when i ring his sim it says
' your call has been forwarded to the t mobile voicemail service '
does this mean he has cancelled his contract with that number?!? or just taken his sim out?!

surely if he had cancelled the sim it would say that when you ring?!?!
Please help?!

From my experience when I sim is cancelled it says 'this number is not available' or something like that. It sounds like his phone is off. He might have got a new one.

Is he avoiding you?
