Digital films at the cinema

I have seen two films recently, The Incredibles and Bridget Jones 2.  Both were very good, but "The Incredibles" was the digital version and the picture quality was excellent.  Bridget Jones was the "normal" version and the picture quality seemed very poor in comparison.

 

Has anybody else been able to compare these two formats?

 

I have asked a similar question to this before; how long is it likely to be before all cinema films are projected in digital format?
