Importing Word data into Excel
2 Answers
Right then, I'm not at all sure that this is possible, but laziness dictates that I must try. I have 600 fax templates saved in word (.doc) format. I need to extrapolate certain data e.g. recipients name, phone number and fax number into excel to use as a database sheet. I have done 6 so far by copy/pasting the table that contains this data from the word docs into ecel and then reformatting the data manually. As Natwest would have be believe "surely there is another way?" Any help would be much appreciated.

1 the road, town, county, postcode
all on one like in the word doc.
save the file as a text file, change the extension to .csv and then import it into excel and it will be preformatted for you.
