Some older DVD players won't play DVDRW,check the paperwork of the device you are attempting to play them on to see if yours is one of the models that doesn't.
You'll probably find that your DVD+RW can not be finalised. The point of this is to allow you to re-record...you would have to use a finalised DVD+R or DVD-R to play on a different machine,with no guarantee that they will play anyway...unlike a CD RW which can be finalised on a CD recorder to make it compatible to play on other players,and which can then be used again,simply by erasing the TOC (table of contents).This returns it to its RW status.
I record DVD-RWs on my Toshiba recorder and can play them back on my Panasonic DVD player, if I wish to. My daughter has an old DVD player which won't play them but I think all modern players will.
