Debug error ??

hi all, hope someone can help. I have been getting a debug error over the last few days every time i use the internet, it pops up after a length of time details are ;- window title is microsoft visual c++ debug library, contents are debug error, program:\program files\internet explorer\IEXPLORER.EXE, abnormal program termination, (press retry to debug the application) then you have a choise of 3 buttons, abort retry,ignore.. help can some one please tell me how to fix it thanks in antisipation
