NoteWorthy Composer

Does anyone out there use NoteWorthy Composer? It's a program where you can create music scores on the PC screen, entering note by note, and then save the end product as a MIDI file. I used it a few years ago (having bought it from the US and paid import duty) and created several MIDI files. Now when I try to create another I cannot get the play-back to work in the course of preparing it. Does anyone know how to correct the problem please?
