Good movie maker programme?

Does anyone know of a good movie maker programme to buy? I had been using movie maker on Vista but have now Window 7. I did download movie maker 2.6 but is not as good as the movie maker I used on Vista. Any help to upgrade what I have or a new one to buy much appreciated.

You may try sony vegas, I always use it to make and edit video on my windows 7, it works pretty well.
