W705 Sony Ericsson and Texting

Hi all, I have this W705 mobile but when ever I write a text message, I don't have a lot of characters left to continue writing. Its a very short text message & I've checked with the message settings & can only convert the message to a 'media message' and not via a normal text message.

Does anyone have this phone or has knowledge about this area to give me some advice?

I presume you havn't had it long,as generally you should have at least 160 characters per SMS. You should also be
allowed to send these in multiples of six before starting over again,which means,as many as you like,as long as you're paying for them. Media messaging or MMS,usually allows 1000 characters per message + pictures etc.,with the latter using an average of 250 characters depending on the size usually. Those phones do seem to have some
'issues',so you should have it checked out.
