help no sound check sound card checked speakers bought new speakers still no sound all i can hear is a light drone coming from the speakers any help to solve this problem

have you checked you have the speaker plug right coloured socket at the rear ?

thaks deggers 316 tried that even put in new speakers all i get is a crackling noise from the speakers

apart from checking that the sound card is pushed into it slots correctly and uni stalling the drivers, restart comp and reinstall the drivers drivers i cant help u

Another thing you could try is this: power down your comp, unplug it from the mains, REMOVE your sound-card (assuming it's a separate one) plug your comp back in, power up with no sound card, wait till it's settled, power down again, unplug, REPLACE the soundcard, then power back up. If something's gone astray -hardware wise- you should get the "found new hardware" message -just follow the prompts.
