Does it cost to pick up a text on a UK mobile in America froma mobile in the UK? I am with orange but I think my friend is with virgin, (but not sure), I wouldn't want to cost her money if it is expensive. Hope someone can help, thank you,rosy

It will cost the person in the UK 10 - 12p (standard text cost) and I think its about 50p whilst roaming abroad.

Everything I can find on Virgins site appears to say that it is free to receive texts while aboard. (and 35p to send one)
