Lap Top Won't Charge

My battery wont charge on my laptop but it will on my friends. I can run my computer while its plugged in but the battery doesn't charge. Any one got any ideas or had a similar problem?

first couple of things I would think are either a physical problem with your battery connection to the laptop or the DC-DC boards gone faulty

Without seeing it (or knowing what make and model) it's hard to know what to say next.

If it's the physical connection to the laptop it maybe repairable, if it's the DC-DC board then on some laptops this is a replaceable part, on some it's part of the main board.
