MP4 mains charger
6 Answers
We have a couple of Goodmans mp4 players [the GMP34 G6]. It soes come with a mains charger, just a USB lead to download and charge the mp4 up. The spare parts stockist for Goodmans have nothing listed and when I've tried to e-mail Goodmans I get a wierd Server error message [I've posted that separately in Computers]. A charger for an Alcatel mobile phone has the same mini plug on the end - its a kind of mini rhomboid shape. This lead will fit but we don't know the MP4 battery spec. Charger is rated as: 100-240v 50/60Hz 500mA and SEC: 5.0V 150mA [guessing that's the output] So how wcan I find out if its ok to use that lead, without blowing the player up? Thanks

Talk about making it hard work!
If it's a usb socket on both of them then you can swap the chargers no problem, or simply buy another charger.

Thanks Chuck and Dizmo uk. Had no idea it would be that easy. Sounds a lot safer to go with that plan [Chuck's suggestion] Why Goodman's couldn't say that I don't know. Just shows how out of touch you get @ 55 [well that's tomorrow!]. Cheers gang. If we still had stars to award you'd definately get them!! * * * * * * * * * *
