Firefox or not?
10 Answers
I am seeing a bit about Firefox and as a learning computer user,I am wondering if I should change to this.I am using IE8 but I was hoping someone could tell me the advantages of Firefox over IE as I am only a basic user, but learning. Are there things such as accelerators and add ons?
If I dont like it,is it easy to go back to IE8?
People mention importing stuff from one to the other.I am not 100%what this means(sorry)but gather I can take my favourites with me.Is this right?
Thanks for your patience.

Importing - This means to copy all of your favourites, bookmarks and history (I think the history is moved too, but it doesn't matter) to another browser. So if you did wish to use firefox you could have all your favourites and bookmarks that are currently on IE.
Firefox, I believe (I use firefox) is alot fast and less buggier than Internet Explorer, but, people may say different. Theres no harm in trying it!
It is simple to go back on internet explorer, you just re-install it (internet explorer can never actually be deleted as it is a part of the Microsoft operating system so getting it back isn't too hard to do).
I hope that has answered your questions.

If you're using XP then when you go to 'start > settings > control panel > Add or Remove Programs > Add / Remove Windows Components (tab on the left had side)' and untick 'Internet Explorer' and click 'next' you can still use Internet Explorer by doing the following:
Just open up a documents folder (any folder) and type the website in the address bar at the top. If there is no address bar just right click with the mouse on the bar that has 'file, edit, etc etc' in (making sure not to actually click on any of the 'words') and click on 'address bar'
Then just type in the address in there. Simmpless.
Diz,
P.S Msn Messenger uses Internet Explorer as apposed to firefox so your computer will still use it.
