I have an iPhone 3G 8GB, which I've had for about 15 months. I've recently noticed that if I use the phone for calls whilst it is plugged in I get nasty electric shocks to my face. Is this normal?

'Is this normal'

Good grief... and if people tell you 'yes, it is normal', are you going to continue to do it?
Have you been using a PC?
Apple products have a built-in non-apple detector and are designed to administer punishment shocks in such circumstances. The best solution is to either stop using the iPhone, or stop using non-apple products. The shocks are designed to escalate over a period of 3 months, at which point automatic decapitation ensues.
give it to me......I need a jump start ;)
