I have a sony hdd/dvd recorder which has performed perfectly until now, its only about 18 months old. For the last few days, quite out of the blue it has stopped recording series. It will record a programme chosen from the guide for the current day, and days in the future, although when you jump to a future day, the programmes show for that day, but the date showing on the page doesnt change. It wont allow the series link connections to be accessed at all, the info button pressed to do this shows information about the programme, the record button, but the series button that is supposed to be there is not there. Has anyone else had this kind of problem crop up, and what can be done. It happened right after the ariel was disconnected, but this is now reconnected as before and a signal is being received as before.

Check to see how much space you have left on the Hard Disc Drive. If the Disc is more or less full you will have to delete which could well result in missing info re-appearing !
