Hi All
Why is it that you have to register the E Reader on the Sony website. I do not want to get bombarded with emails from Sony for the next decade.
Can i not just go onto wh smiths or waterstones and download a book onto the reader.
Ta in advance
I take it you've just spent a couple of hundred pounds on a product without actually checking where and how you purchase the books for it prior to spending your money.
Actually I have'nt purchased it yet and it's £149 not a couple of hundred pound. Thanks so much for your comment. That is the 1st negative comment i have ever had on this site. Everyone is always so helpful. Congratulations for spoiling it
I would have thought when you registered there is normally a disclaimer asking you to tick/untick the box if you dont want to be bothered by advertising email/phonecalls from sony and other third party companies..? so you wouldnt be pestered
I have a Sony Reader, registered it with Sony but have not had any other emails after the one that acknowledged registration and confirmed the guarantee is in place.
You can buy eBooks from many sources, and download free ones legally from sites such as Gutenberg Project.
