Vinyl to CD via Seal Deck - Audacity Software
4 Answers
I was given as a present a Seal record deck and some software called Audacity to record vinyl records and then the software/my own computer music record onto a cd.
I was told to Press, pause, put the vinyl record on and then press record on the audacity software. Then when finished save and export as a MP3 file. This all worked OK, except the recording only recorded on one channel. Where have I gone wrong please?

most microphones are only mono when going into a pc, you will need to purchase a better soundcard with the stereo option

Thank you to those that made suggestions regarding the record deck/computer. I checked the leads etc and that the settings on the software were set to stereo. I guess it must be the soundcard aspect because the deck just plugs straight into the computer and records via the audacity software. Will have to check it out with my computer engineer when he does a service. Once again thanks for the response.
