TV gone pink :(

I have a Panasonic TV and also a Sky Plus Box and DVD player linked up to it.

The picture started to go pink on and off and is now permanently pink.

I assumed it was the but when the sky box goes into standby the TV screen which shows Sky is not on anymore (TV not tuned into channels) is fine as it the picture on the DVD player.

So could it be the sky box which has gone pink or is it still the TV and any ideas how to try and fix it myself without calling someone out.

is there anything near your tv with magnets in? if there is, move this (speakers have magnets in) and see if there is an option on your tv to 'degaus'

I don't think so, it's between a sofa and front door with a window behind. Sky box and dvd player underneath and a little clock and some ornaments on top and a toy beaver from Canada!

i had a little lookee after i posted and i think you could try degaussing anyway, if you can find out how to do it on your model

have you checked the scart lead is is properly?

try swapping the scarts over and see if it still happens

I've looked up the degaus thing and don't think the TV is new enough, it came with the house and think it's been there quite a while.

Can't believe I've been putting up with a pink tv for weeks for a loose socket...doh!
