I use scart leads for connecting TV, digibox and DVD recorder.

However TVs now seem to have a whole load of different connections.
Should I be using them instead of the clunky old scart sockets?

scart lead is better, its doesn't loosen nor fray.
I think HDMI is better for picture quality. Also quality of SCART leads is very variable
Tambo seems to have got audio/visual connectors confused with tin can telephones.

It mainly depends on what is providing the video signal, if you only have a normal dvd player, sky or freeview box then scart is OK

If you have anything that can provide higher quality video (blue ray player, SkyHD or Freesat) Then HDMI is the best way to connect, but don't be conned, a £2 HDMI cable from amazon is as good as a £99 from the high street (and even the £2 ones don't fray!)

Thanks.

I'll stick with scart. I can't be bothered with HD, as I don't want to see the newsreader's zits.

What does HDMI stand for?
