Is it my ISP or my software?
My system is running Win 7 and Mozilla Firefox 3.5.8
On may occcasions the Network Internet Access tray icon (normally a monitor/TV) shows up with a yellow exclamation mark in it. Web pages say 'Problem Loading' and download manager (JDownload) disconnects from the source file.
Solution is simple: right click icon to 'Open Network & Sharing Center' which shows a big red X between 'Network' & 'Internet' - double click the red X - Trouble shooter appears to find a problem in about 10 - 15 seconds (might be namimg problem) and then trouble shooter says I cannot find a problem and all connections re-made. Jdownloader sorts itself and I refresh all web pages.
The problem is I am having to do this 10 or 20 times a day.
My question is do you feel this is a software (incompatibility) problem or an ISP server problem (I'm with Sky)
Also a subscribed download service is threateneing to close my account a it would appear that I am sharing my account. Do you think that as Sky supply dynamic ISP Addresses I could effectively be changing my network address when this problem occurs
Sorry for the long message but your views/help would be appreciated
