Windows 7 task bar problem

Hi i have put windows 7 on my netbook in place of linux,and all is working fine everything is ok,The only problem if i can call it a problem is the task bar when u say open up 4 internet explorer pages and then hover over the explorer icon in bottom task bar it should show the 4 pages i have open and able to choose etc,but on the netbook if i hover over it it just says in text the 4 windows i have open...How do i get it to show as the actual webpages like it does on my desktop..Im sure its a simple tick somewere but i have no idea were i have tried going into control panel and task bar start up settings but all ticks seem to be in same place as on my desktop...so any help would be great im sure its something silly im not doing but thanks in advance for your help

At a guess, Aero is not enabled on the netbook. This would depend on the version of 7 that you've installed and the hardware.
You can check in Control Panel/Perfromance Information and tools.
