Canon PIXMA MX320, printer/fax.scanner etc

Has anyone got one of these? I can't get a dial tome out of my phone, I plug the phone in the back in the correct socket then I plug the main machine into the phone socket. When I pick up the phone I get silence. When I press the stop button (as it says you should) I get the double beep indication error. Any ideas anyone? I have RTFM'd but no joy, thanks

Lol canon are a joke.

I brought a Canon MP190 printer from Tesco's but
a - Found it very difficult to buy Ink's
b - When I did find some Ink's....they were MORE exspensive than the what the printer cost.
