Cannot see BTHomeHub...

I am trying to connect my wireless Mac laptop to a BTHomeHub.

The wireless symbol on the front of the BTHomeHub box is lit up, so I am assuming that wireless is enabled.

Other BTHomeHubs as well as other wireless networks in the vicinity are showing on my Mac but the HomeHub I want to connect to isn't: I cannot see it's Network Name/SSID.

Any ideas?

Is it a new hub? or one that's been set-up previously, if it is one that has been set-up previously do you have any computers working on it?

Also does it work if you connect to it using an ethernet cable?

Hey chuck.

It is someone elses that I want to temporarily jump on to. I'm using their PC now to write this but don't know if it via wireless.

I do know they use a laptop wirelessly too from here. Looking on the back of the HomeHub box now, the Ethernet1 and broadband cables are connected.

I also appear to be using their wireless PC mouse right now...
They have probably setup the security on the hub to hide the SSID (the wireless name)

try clicking below

http://bthomehub.home/

does that take you to the admin pages for the hub? if it does look about in the wireless settings to see if you can find the option to hide/unhide the SSID (it's bugger all use as a security feature, just makes life hard having it hidden)

Yes. I can see all the broadband details such as upstream/downstream/data transmitted/received etc.

Under the 'my home network' heading it shows 'no wireless or USB devices connected' but 'ethernet' is...
