When I type an e-mail address, the underscore automatically appears as soon as I move the cursor away from the end of the address (press space bar, or move to a new line below address). I have Microsoft Works Word Processor. What word processing software have you got?
I wasn't sure what carrust meant to be honest.
if they meant an email address with an underscore in it then just type an underscore as I said above.
if they meant an underscored address that can be clicked on then that is dependent on where the address is typed, some programs that support it will underscore the address automatically.

you put < before typing it and > afterwards e.g. <[email protected]> (hopefully works on here, works in Word!
