I've just realized that my new computer doesn't have a telephone socket.
Does anyone know if there's anyway of sending faxes without setting up a monthly contract. I only send a couple per month, if that, but they're usually important and necessary.

If it's a desktop, one way is to buy an internal PCI modem for it for around 20 quid, that way you could send faxes from the PC. It is easy to fit, but does require opening the case, and can be daunting for someone who's never done it before.

A better way (especially if it's a laptop) might be to buy an all in one (printer, scanner, fax) - that way you don't have to open the PC, and could also fax from paper as well.
Does anyone still fax? Why not just scan in your document and email it?
People still fax.

There are loads of "fax-without-a-fax-machine" options these days. I use this: http://home.efax.com/yac-fax/yac-fax-faqs.html
