Changing Image Size

This may sound dumb but can anyone tell me how I resize some pictures I have taken and downloaded using a fujifilm A310 using finepix softwear I need to get them down to about less thank 100 k

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I don't know that particular software, but look for "Image Size" (or something similar) then simply type in the size that you want to reduce the image to. I usually resize to around 800x600 if I'm sending them on for viewing on-screen. You then need to use "Save As" and save the image as either a JPG or a PNG, both of these will compress the image data size. Personally I prefer a 256 colour PNG.
No it doesn't sound dumb at all, far from it!
I have the Finepix software with my Olympus camera, but after downloading and saving I immediately send the lot to My Pictures, then resize, crop and generally fiddle about if the pics need it with a fabulous bit of free software called Irfanview. Download this little file and you'll wonder how you managed without it. Here it is
