The Unreliable Webcam

Recently i bought a webcam that can take pictures/record videos etc. It can take pictures and videos just fine but the only problem is, it keeps disconnecting itself when talking to friends on msn via. webcam conversation! Sometimes on a lucky occasion it works, but i want to find the real reason why it keeps disconnecting. I have broadband and my firewall is on if that helps. Can anyone help me out here?

Have you tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it again?

Yep. Loads. Still doesnt want to work on msn webcam conversations

I was having problems with some programmes I installed (not a webcam though). I was advised to unistall, then try this: start>my computer>right click, properties (for your hard drive)>tools>check now. Tick the boxes that apear, and then if u have xp it asks you to restart the computer. This checks your hard drive for errors and missing files, replacing any lost/damged files. It takes around 30 mins to check my pc but I would reccomend it. When its done, reinstall the webcam and try again.
