I have to record a piano performance via microphone to audio cassette. What sort of connection do I need so that I can then save this recording to hard drive, and then burn it onto CD?
"twin phono to 3.5mm stereo jack lead "
That's always provided that your audio cassette machine has phono outs - if not you can use 3.5mm jack to jack to connect between the headphone socket on the CR and the line in socket on the PC.

yes but watch your volume output if you do the rojash option,
if to high it will distort. set you comp line input volume at midway and slowly increase the volume output on the cr from zreo till you get a satisfactory distortion free sound
