I had a call yesterday from an Indian chap asking me if I would like to sign up for the T.P.S.I told him that I was already registered with this service and put the phone down. The phone rang again and another Indian chap said I had put the phone down on his colleague and would I be interested in etc etc........When I told HIM ,he asked how much I paid for it,so I told him it's a free service from BT,then HE hung up.Do you think there's something fishy and they are trying to sell a free service to people?Any one vulnerable could be taken in by it.

Probably a scam
I provide a very good Telephone Preference Service for £19.99 per month.

Would you like me to send you details?

lol! Thats just the point though jayne ,all the person would have to do is give their telephone number to these blokes who would then sign up to the TPS and then charge them.
You're right, Polly ... they are taking advantage of people who don't know any better.
I've been registered with TPS for years but it doesn't stop everybody & his uncle ringing me. Are you supposed to renew your details every so often?
