Internet Problems

hi can anyone help me please. Ever since i came back from holiday and done windiws update and update for my norton virus software I am getting errors and my computer is working as well. First of all I cant even get onto my email (hotmail) because as soon as I click enter it goes straight to the page where it says cannot find server and u should refresh etc. without hesitation, it doesn't even try to load up. Then on some wensites loads of windows come up saying you have a runtime error and it says do u wish to debug and it has the line that it is on each time. I just click yer or no because i dont know what that means, if anybody can help me with anything then that will be great

I had this also, havent a clue but was told to try this: start>my computer, right click on the icon for your hard drive (usually c), click properties, then the tools tab, check both the boxes, click start (then u may have to restart your pc depending what version of windows u have). This checks for error on the hard drive. Also downlaod ad-aware if u can to check for spyware.

thanks for that Pattherat I will try that and see if it works. But the ad-aware things you have to pay for if u want them to remove the spyware is't that right?

Im sure this is a virus.  When lots of windows pop up this is generally the case.  Just a suggestion though,  you shouldn't be clicking on any windows if you don't know what they are, some download more malicious software onto your machine, or dial up premium rate numbers through your comp.  Right click the icon on the task bar and close the window that way.  Maybe you should update your virus protection and run a full scan.  Don't want to scare you, its probably nothing but it's better to be safe than sorry, good luck! (ps- adaware is free.  The free version can't find everything but its pretty good and does remove spyware)

hi i had the same thing happen to me over the holiday and am trying to find out an answer. i can cheack my email on other computers and it works fine. my net works good and i am conected but the same thing pops up for me
