I run Windows XP & my 'audio' email alert has stopped working !( the small envelope still appears in the bottom right hand corner when I have new mail ) ....... please, can anyone advise me how to fix it?

I assume your sound volume isn't on mute?

Outlook Express & no I'm not on mute......

click on the tools menu, select options, click on the general tab and put a tick in "play sound when mail arrives"

Tried it - still no sound when emails arrive, but thanks anyway :-)

Check in the control panel sunder sounds and audio devices, click on the sounds tab and make sure you have a sound assigned for "new mail notification"
