installing scanner

I have a new dell laptop with Windows 7 home edition. When I try to install my flat bed scanner using the disc supplied it wont work. It works on my old laptop. can any help please?

Go to the Dell site and download the latest drivers and use those.

Dave, they never said it's a dell scanner so unlikely to find the drivers on dells site.

Some years back I had to sling my perfectly good scanner because they updated Windows and they thought it a huge laugh to stop supporting it. Makes one seethe. Talk about a "throw away society"; you're caught by the short & curlies when they want to mess you about.

Hopefully your problem is just a driver one though.

Windows 7 also has a compatability function which sorted out all of my problems bar a family history programmewhich we had to replace.
